Bayern Munich on Saturday stayed on course for a historic treble when they won the German Cup by beating the defending champions Werder Bremen 4-0 in the final in Berlin.
Arjen Robben with a first half penalty and goals by Ivica Olic, Franck Ribery and Bastian Schweinsteiger in the second half gave Munich their second trophy of the season after they earlier clinched the Bundesliga title.
Werder Bremen ended the game with ten men after captain Torsten Frings was sent off in the 76th minute for a second bookable offence.
Next Saturday Bayern can win a historic treble if they manage to beat Inter Milan in the final of the Champions League in Madrid.
